"Moose"
If you ever end up running into a moose in the wilderness,I wish you luck.Moose, also called elk are the largest members of the deer family.Moose are very huge animals and all organisms possess threats to moose.Moose shed every year and are brownish black or reddish brown.Unlike other species, moose do not form herds.A male moose is called a Bull Moose.A female moose is called a Cow and a baby moose is called a Calf. At birth calves weigh 25-35 pounds.Moose can only grow up to 7 feet tall.Even though they're endangered, there are still four sub-species of moose in the world:the Alaskan moose, the North-western moose, the Shiras moose, and the Eastern moose.Moose are well known for their heavy antlers. If you thought that all moose had antlers, then you were wrong.Only Bull Moose grow antlers. Also, their antlers are used to fight.
Moose are mostly found in the Northern Hemisphere. They mainly live in forests and places with cool climates. In summer, moose live in areas with water. The predators of moose are large brown bears or grizzly bears.Moose eat a lot of food. They eat as much as 50-60 pounds a day, even though they have no upper front teeth.Moose are herbivores and like to eat leaves, small tree branches, and shrubs.Other than their habitat or eating habits, moose are very great swimmers and fast runners.I would like to see you try to escape from these viscious animals, especially since they run at about 35 miles per hour!
