"Bears"
In the wilderness, there is probably a 70% chance that you might run into a bear.If you come across a bear and dont want to get eaten,or if you want to avoid bears,or if you want to learn about bears for your own good, then you should read very closely and try not miss any information.
Bears are mammals and only eight species exist in the world today, but they are quickly becoming endangered. The Asiatic Bear,Black Bear,Brown Bear,Giant Panda Bear,Polar Bear,Sloth Bear,Spectacled Bear, and the Sun Bear are the eight species that exist today.Bears have large fur covered bodies with round heads and stocky legs, long snouts, shaggy hair, and short tails. Many of the bear species are found in North America,South America,Europe, and Asia. They live in caves, burrows,or dens,in areas like forests, mountains, tundras, deserts,or grassy areas.
Even though some of the species have different diets, all bears are omnivores. All bear species have an excellent sense of smell, sight, and hearing. They can even smell food, cubs,a mate,or predators from miles away!Unlike most humans, bears have great navigation skills.Bears are also good runners, climbers, and swimmers.Lastly, most bears are hunted for their meat and fur and can be used for medicine.
Did you know that some bear species are shy, easily frightened, and will most likely avoid humans?Even though some bears are like that, others are the opposite;some species are dangerous to humans!Like many mammals do,bears hibernate when it is cold, and cubs rely on their mother for food and protection when they're born. Also, when a mother feels that her cubs are threatened, she will behave visciously and ferociously. As you can see, bears are somewhat different from humans, but similar in some ways.
